A Little Image of Tom Little a Big Mean Guerrilla

Here is a small tintype of Thomas Little who joined Quantrill just before the Aubry, Kansas raid that occurred on March 7th, 1862. He fought Johnson at Centeralia. In 1863 Tom was wounded five miles from Goodrich's ferry on the Mississippi River in Louisiana. After the war he was member of the James Gang. After the Richmond Missouri bank robbery were three people were killed, there was a warrant issued for his arrest. He was captured in St. Louis, and later hung by a lynch mob at Warrensburg Missouri in June of 1867. This is the smallest size of images sold to the public known as a sixteenth plate. It came with other images of Tom from a family decedent.
